Review by hotel critic
During my recent getaway to the Anchorage, I found it to be a charming base for exploring the stunning beaches and picturesque villages of the South Coast. Just a short 10-minute walk from the iconic Sandbanks, this elegant inn offers not only a prime location but also a welcoming atmosphere thanks to the friendly staff. The restaurant, with its great vibe, served up a variety of high-quality dishes, including some delicious seafood sourced daily—perfect for a bit of indulgence after a day spent exploring the natural beauty of the area. The en-suite bedrooms, adorned with bespoke artwork and crisp white linens, created a comfortable retreat, allowing us some much-needed relaxation. I particularly appreciated the varied breakfast options, which fuelled us for our adventures ahead. My stay was enhanced by the Anchorage's thoughtful amenities and inviting ambiance, making it both a delightful escape and a responsible choice for eco-conscious travelers like myself. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy the coastal treasures of this region while ensuring their visit is a positive reflection on both the environment and the local community.
